The Three Warriors

orishawarriorsguerreroseshuogunochosi

Philosophical Summary

In the Lucumí tradition, 'The Warriors' (Los Guerreros) are usually the first Orishas a practitioner receives. They consist of Eshu-Eleggua (the Opener of the Way), Ogun (the Iron Worker), and Ochosi (the Hunter). Together, they provide the initiate with the tools to navigate life's challenges, clear obstacles, and maintain spiritual defense. Sometimes Osun is included as a fourth member of this foundational group.
