proverb
Two Inseparable Friends Separate
friendshipimpermanencerelationshipschangeloss
Philosophical Summary
This proverb stands in tension with "similar characters forge a friendship." Together they teach a complete picture: character-based friendships are the truest, AND even the truest friendships pass through separation. The teaching is about accepting the full arc of relationship rather than clinging to permanence. In Eji Ogbe's cosmology, even the perfect beginning (Ogbe-Meji) eventually progresses into the combinations that form the other 255 Odu.
