The Palm Tree Has More Influence Than the Other Trees

Philosophical Summary

From roots to fronds, every part of the palm tree provides something essential. It does not need to announce its superiority — its utility makes the claim for it. This is the model for the Eji Ogbe person: not aggressive assertion of rank, but a completeness of contribution that makes one indispensable. The proverb is also connected to the Iherehere verse, where the palm frond is cited as taller than the palm leaves on the head of the palm tree itself.
