The Verse of Sudden Change

Philosophical Summary

'The weather was clear, but the lightning still struck the tall tree. Divined for the one who thought their position was permanent.' It emphasizes that permanence is an illusion and that 'The Light' (Ogbè) is often revealed through 'The Strike' (Ọ̀kànràn) of a crisis.

Interpretation

Ogbè Ọ̀kànràn represents the 'Shock to the System.' It teaches that some roads are so overgrown with ego and habit that only a 'Lightning Strike' (a sudden layoff, a breakup, or a health scare) can clear the way for Ogbè (The Light) to shine. The 'Tall Tree' represents the rigid person who refuses to bend. By striking the tree, the lightning provides the wood for the fire and clears the view of the sky. It instructs the client to look for the 'Opportunity' within the 'Disaster.'
